The Nordic AI Union Summit brings decision-makers together to strengthen our collective voice, share experience, and secure real influence over how AI is introduced, governed, and negotiated at work.
Through keynote presentations and roundtable discussions, the summit offers a space for new insights and strategy formations. It is all about ensuring a worker-led digital transformation that builds on the strengths of the Nordic model and that is responsible and ethical.

Lasse kicks off the Nordic AI Union Summit with an inspiring, future-focused keynote on how artificial intelligence is transforming work and society across the globe. Through powerful real-world examples, he shows how AI is already shaping everyday working lives — and what this means for workers, unions, and the Nordic model. This opening keynote sets the stage for a bold and forward-looking conversation about how AI can be governed in ways that strengthen democracy, participation, and fairness at work.

This keynote provides insight into how unions can anticipate and engage with emerging AI technologies, ensuring transparency, participation, and human oversight as automation accelerates at work.
The Supremacy of Technology:-The Seduction of AI – and How We Can Resist Its Power

Elisabeth challenges the growing supremacy of technology and the seductive power of AI. In this keynote, she invites unions and workers to reflect on how artificial intelligence shapes decisions, values, and power in working life — and how we can actively resist technological dominance to protect human agency, democracy, and sustainable work.
Elisabeth Austad Asser holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Ethics from the University of Agder in Norway and is the Author of Teknologiens makt.
The Ten AI Commandments

Eirik will give a powerful presentation of The Ten AI Commandments and the political responses and public debate that have followed their launch. In this keynote, he explores how AI is being shaped by political choices — and what this means for power, regulation, and working life.
With a clear focus on democracy, accountability, and workers’ rights, the session offers unions and labour representatives concrete insight into how they can influence the governance of AI. Eirik Mofoss will also contribute to the afternoon panel discussion, bringing the debate from principles to political action.

The afternoon sessions are designed as interactive roundtable discussions, giving participants the opportunity to exchange experiences, reflect together, and explore concrete strategies for union action on responsible and ethical AI in the Workplace.

Roundtable 1: Regulating AI – From Policy to Practice
How should artificial intelligence be regulated to protect workers’ rights, democratic participation, and trust in the workplace?
This roundtable focuses on AI regulation from a labour perspective, including:
  • How national and European AI regulation affects working life
  • The role of trade unions in shaping AI policy and enforcement
  • Gaps between regulation, implementation, and everyday workplace realities
The discussion invites participants to share experiences, identify common challenges, and explore how unions can influence regulation — not only on paper, but in practice.

Roundtable 2: Negotiating AI in the Workplace
As AI is introduced at work, negotiations become critical to ensure transparency, fairness, and worker influence.
This roundtable explores:
  • How AI is currently being introduced in workplaces across the Nordic countries
  • What unions need to negotiate on when AI systems affect work tasks, performance, and decision-making
  • How collective agreements, co-determination, and social dialogue can be used to govern AI at work
The session is designed to equip participants with practical insights and shared strategies for negotiating AI in ways that strengthen workers’ rights and the Nordic Model.
